Army Navy Game Set for 113th Matchup
We admit it, we are an ARMY STRONG Family
Tailgating is fun for any football game but today is different. Don't get me wrong, there will be tons of tailgaters having a rip-roaring good time outside of the stadium today but things are always a bit... special during Army - Navy week.
With parents, children and nephews in the Army its perfectly normal to hear a HOOAH when a bunch of family members get together. That being said, we still love our Navy, Air Force, Marine and Coast Guard service members and friends. But today... HOOAH! It's all about the traditional Army - Navy game which will kick off today at 3:00 Eastern time for the One Hundredth and Thirteenth time at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly. How Amazing is that?
(Philly Fans Go Crazy for Army Navy Game)
The game between the two service acadimies dates back to 1890 and is an American college football classic rivalry game. Held between the teams of the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point, New York and the United States Naval Academy (USNA) at Annapolis, Maryland.
Ally and I both have a love of the game of football as does most of our family. But the Army - Navy game is different. Here are several reasons why you should watch this game if you are a football fan, and even if you are not.
- It's traditionally the last game of both teams schedule excluding bowl games.
- The players will not head to the NFL or another pro football league. These players will go onto serve our country.
- For Seniors on both teams they are playing for pride, love of the game and for their teammates, other service academies and for their country.
- It's exciting football!
And if you are a die hard Army or Navy football fan I have a few keys to the game for you courtesy of Military Times.
