SHOW ME THE BACON! Okay, I'll admit that the classic line from the movie Jerry McQuire may not fit perfectly when talking about AWESOME race day food. That Tom Cruise movie is about a sports agent dealing with life, relationships, and a football player. But, Tom Cruise also has NASCAR roots with his movie Day's of Thunder.

So, I figured it was time to ask the foodies working at Charlotte Motor Speedway to SHOW ME THE BACON! And they did! In fact, Charlotte Motor Speedway took the time to show me a few other items on their track concession stand menus designed especially for food lovers.  Pictured above is my favorite which is their Candied Bacon Lollipops! Yes, I said Candy, Bacon, and Lollipop in on food title! Don't forget about items such as Chocolate-Covered Bacon and the Funnel Bacakonator!

Charlotte Motor Speedway officials have partnered with Levy Restaurants to create a menue that is unique featuring delectable treats only found at Charlotte. According to the speedwary this May will see the official introduction of several items including the previously mentioned Candied-Bacon Lollipops as well as the Crank Shaft Burrito and the Speedway Picnic Burger. May will see 10 Days of NASCAR Thunder at Charlotte Motor Speedway with the running of the North Carolina Education Lottery 200, the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, LiftMaster Pole Night, the Hisense 300, and then the running of the iconic Coca-Cola 600.

Candied Bacon Lollipops: Sure to be a fan favorite are the Candied Bacon Lollipops, which combine the savory saltiness of thick-cut bacon with the sweetness of brown sugar and maple syrup and an added kick of Sriracha chili sauce and black pepper, creating a medley of flavors that will satisfy the taste buds. At just 225 calories, fans will want to grab two or three of these tasty treats piled high on a skewer for just $5 each.

Crank Shaft Burrito: The Crank Shaft Burrito (above) is a 6.5-pound masterpiece that can feed a family of four or more, all for just $25. At 5,047 calories, the gargantuan burrito consists of four 12-inch tortillas stuffed with 1.5 pounds of baked beans, 1.5 pounds of coleslaw and 3 pounds of Carolina pulled pork, tossed with house-made 'Speedway City' barbecue sauce, and topped with 8 ounces of white queso, 4 ounces of jalapeños, more baked beans, slaw and pulled pork.

6-pound Speedway Picnic Burger: For fans looking for more traditional race track fare, Levy Restaurants has put a twist on the average family picnic with the 6-pound Speedway Picnic Burger (above). Made to share with family and friends,  the 6,209-calorie smorgasbord of food has eight ¼-pound burgers, eight hotdogs, 1.5 pounds of pulled pork, 1 pound of bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and eight slices of American cheese piled on a 14-inch sesame seed bun. The burger costs $35 and comes wrapped with a tablecloth and includes serving utensils, plates and napkins for the full speedway picnic experience.

Catch a Race and Eat! Fans can try any of these tasty treats during the 10 Days of NASCAR Thunder at the Levy concessions area on the frontstretch concourse. Great seats are still available for the two biggest back-to-back weeks in motorsports, with weekend passes starting at just $99. To purchase tickets, camping and race-day upgrades, fans should call the speedway ticket office at 1-800-455-FANS (3267) or shop online at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com.
