THE BIG ONE GETS A NEW FRIEND - the Talla-Mento Dogwich! Who If you've been to Talladega for a race then you probably know that FOOD is a huge deal! let the dogs out! Now fans at Talladega Superspeedway will be able to enjoy a new track dish along with the Mega Sized Meatball named the "BIG ONE!"
The concession stands at Talladega Superspeedway will be offering the track’s new signature hot dog – the incredibly delicious Talla-Mento Dogwich during the track’s upcoming tripleheader race weekend, April 29-May 31, for the General Tire 200, Sparks Energy 300 and GEICO 500.
Talla-Mento Dogwich: The mouth-watering Talla-Mento Dogwich is a grilled, all beef Hot Dog split into two and placed on top of melted Yancey’s Fancy buffalo cheddar cheese, topped with a generous helping of Pimiento Cheese, placed in between two slices of Texas toast (grilled to golden brown) and cut down the middle.

It joins ‘The Big One Meatball’ as the most creative and delicious food items at any sporting event in the world.”
WHAT ABOUT THE BIG ONE MEATBALL? - Don't worry 'Dega fans - The world-renowned “The Big One” Meatball will still be around. The Big One - touted as "the biggest" and "most unique" meatball freaking ever of its kind - weighs in at over a pound. It has a center of blended Mozzarella and Pepper Jack Cheeses mixed with smoked BBQ Pulled Pork and a little house BBQ sauce for an extra kick. It is then covered by a layer of Ground Beef, rolled in a panko bread crumb and parmesan mix before being deep fried to a golden brown. And, there’s more - it is then topped off with a dollop of BBQ sauce and a spaghetti garnish.
HOW MUCH BABY? I'm on the way to the concession stands! - The Talla-Mento Dogwich ($5) will be sold in the O.V. Hill North and South Grandstands as well as the Tri-Oval Tower and all Infield Locations. The Big One Meatball ($13) will be sold at concession stands in the Gadsden and O.V. Hill South Grandstands, along with the Tri-Oval Tower along the frontstretch.
The Weekend: The epic weekend kicks off Friday with a full slate of on-track activity which includes practice sessions for the Sparks Energy 300 (NASCAR XFINITY Series) and GEICO 500 (NASCAR Sprint Cup Series) plus practice, qualifying and the drop of the green flag of the General Tire 200 for the ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards. The General Tire 200 is set for a 5:00 pm (CDT) start. Friday night the track will host its fifth “Big One on the Blvd” parade, featuring NASCAR drivers and loads of fun, at 7:30 pm.
Saturday’s activities kick off at 9:30 am (CDT) with Sparks Energy 300 and GEICO 500 qualifying, followed by the start of the Sparks Energy 300 at 2:00 pm. Later in the evening, the Saturday Night Infield Concert with Eric Lee Beddingfield and Big & Rich, Featuring Cowboy Troy, begins at 7:30 pm. Sunday’s GEICO 500 gets underway at 12:00 pm.
