Bonus - CHEATER SAUCE! Ok, so you don't have time to make the sauce above but you like the idea of a barbecue sauce with hearty steak sauce leanings. Simple, grab your favorite barbecue sauce and add in some of your favorite steak sauce. I follow the two - one ratio. If you like barbecue sauce better. Two part barbecue sauce to one part steak sauce. And, if you like steak sauce flavor better - two parts steak sauce to one part barbecue sauce.

Ingredients
1can tomato sauce
1/4cupvinegarcider
1/4cupWorcestershire sauce
2tablespoonbrown sugar
1squirt lemon or lime juice
2tablespoonspaprika
2tablespoonsmustard
1/2tablespoongarlic salt
1/2tablespoonblack pepper
1tablespoonhotsauce
1dash liquid smoke
Chopped green onions or scallions
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes.
Version One: Marinate the steaks overnight if possible in some of the sauce, covered, and chilled in the fridge. Reserve the remaing sauce for later use when you are grilling. Ready your grill and grill the steaks as you normally would. Baste before removing from grill and serving with some of the remaining sauce.
Version Two: Cool and drench steaks in sauce before grilling over charcoal and hickory chips. When you turn brush steak again with sauce. Repeat constantly as grilling, serve up!
